Jersey to Minquiers
Les Minquiers is situated south of Jersey and is abundant with bird and wild life that use the reef as a rest stop. Often pods of dolphins feed along the hidden sand banks at high tide, and of an evening, it is the perfect place to stop and watch the dolphins play in the waters surrounding the reef.
There are a few fishermen’s huts on the main island, and the reef is known for being an excellent bass fishing area. At low tide it is possible to moor alongside the slipway and explore the island.
This is a peaceful location to have a picnic and a dip in the sea alongside the slip. You may be lucky enough to swim with one of the grey seals that inhabit the rocks around this reef!
What to Bring
We provide you with waterproof jackets and lifejackets. Due to the rocky surface of the Minquiers we recommend flat shoes i.e. trainer style shoes,
swimwear for a deep in the crystal clear waters, towel to dry off, a drink (water) and something to eat (picnic).
All of our Minquiers trips leave from St. Helier, Albert Pier.
